Head Coach:
The head coach is required to get a Criminal Record Check with Vunerable Sector, code of conduct contract signed and complete the Respect in Sports Leader certification or Safe Sport training. The coach is required to run practices for the team, focusing on team and player development. Make the team rosters for games ensuring fair play is considered. Responsible for the team's equipment throughout the season. Coaches will receive a free registration for the child they are coaching.
Assistant Coach:
The assistant coach is also required to get a Criminal Record Check with Vunerable Sector, code of conduct contract signed and complete the Respect in Sports Leader certification or Safe Sport Training. Assist the coach whenever possible and help at practices and games.
Team Manager:
The team manager is required to complete the Respect in Sports Leader certification and a Criminal Record Check with Vunerable Sector. Responsible for all communication with parents,players and coaches. Distribute all important information to team members and their parents in regards to practices and games. Collects uniforms at the end of the season and return them to the Equipment Manager.
The Criminal Record Check can be obtained for free at your local RCMP detachment with a letter from the PMBA stating you are a volunteer. This letter can be provided to you at your request.
Anyone wishing to coach will be reimbursed for any courses or online training they do! All team staff is required to attend the coaches meeting at the beginning of the season where they will receive rosters, rules and schedules!
